Diet to Support your BB Kids Repair Journey

Diet to Support your BB Kids Repair Journey

BB Kids Repair product is for all things repair! Repairing the cells within the stomach lining such as secretory IgA and zonulin, recolonise good bacteria levels and to reduce inflammation. Our goal is to provide you with foods that will further support reducing inflammation, supporting the repair of the stomach lining and recolonising good bacteria levels. See our dietary and lifestyle tips to improve your child's BB Kids Journey.

Foods to enjoy

  • Aim to add in bone broth which contains collagen, gelatin, amino acids (such as glutamine) and essential minerals that help to support repairing the gut lining. Ideally, children should consume bone broth 3-5 times a week, either as a warm drink, in soups, or incorporated into stews and rice dishes.
  • It’s important to choose foods that are easy to digest during this phase. Well-cooked vegetables, slow-cooked meats, and soups are excellent choices as they require less effort for digestion while still providing essential nutrients.
  • Fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, and yogurt contain beneficial probiotics that will further help to restore good bacteria whilst we also recolonise through BB Kids Repair providing them with a wider strain of good bacteria levels for a more robust microbiome. For children new to fermented foods, start with a teaspoon daily and gradually increase to a few tablespoons per day.
  • Prebiotics such as oats, bananas, asparagus, garlic, onions, and flaxseeds. Act as food for these good gut microbes which we are recolonising through the BB Kids Repair products.

Foods to Reduce

  • Refined sugars & processed foods (cakes, cookies, candies, sodas) as they feed harmful bacteria and yeast, leading to gut dysbiosis.
  • Gluten containing foods, or highly processed grains; as they can contribute to gut inflammation and leaky gut in sensitive individuals, opt for fermented gluten such as sourdough whilst we repair the stomach lining.

Lifestyle Tips

  • Spend time outdoors in nature. Exposure to natural environments increases microbial diversity increasing the diversity whilst we are in the recolonisation stage with the BB Kids Repair.
  • Regular play and movement for children to reduce stress, stress is linked to reduction in good bacteria levels in the stomach.
  • Drink filtered water throughout the day to reduce the risk of harmful bacteria through un-filtered water.
  • Only take antibiotics when absolutely needed.
  • Teach children to chew food thoroughly before swallowing.
  • Avoid eating in stressful environments or while distracted (e.g., watching TV).
