Why do the BB Kids protocol?
Our gut microbiome and heavy metal exposure is linked to essentially all adult and children related health conditions. From Links to autism, ADHD, epilepsy and eczema to colic, reflux and learning IQ. If you want the best start in life for your child then you're in the right place.
Not only is our microbiome and gut health linked to health conditions but it also determines your child's risk of nutritional deficiencies. Our stomach lining known as enterocytes has a role in nutrient absorption, thus prioritising gut health also reduces the risk nutrient deficiencies in your little one which comes with its own host of health problems.
Who are these products recommended for?
The products are recommend for all children who haven't completed a gut microbiome protocol in the past 2 years. The BB kids protocol forms as the best prevention for your child's future health. Our gastrointestinal microbiome terrain changes and develops as we mature and gastrointestinal diversity is the key to reducing the risk ofhealth related conditions
How often should we do the BB Kids Protocol?
BB Kids Protocol is recommended every 2 years until your child reaches their teens. This is because our fruits and vegetables contain pesticides, we are exposed to endocrine disrupting chemicals on a daily basis and the food and water we drink often contains bacterial over growths, parasites or heavy metals. BB Kids Protocol is our evolution savior, saving us from the constants we are exposed to daily to ensure they do not impact our child's health negatively.
Is BB Kids Allergy Friendly?
Our goal for BB Kids Range was to make the range as Allergy friendly as possible! Both BB Kids Eliminate and BB Kids Repair is free from animal products, egg and egg products, fish and fish products, gluten, dairy and dairy products, lactose, peanut and peanut products, pollen, propolis, sesame seeds and sesame seed products, soya and soya bean products.
Both BB Kids Eliminate and BB Kids Repair is also free from sulfites, sugar alcohols, sucralose, sorbates, royal jelly, hydroxybenzoic acid esters, galactose, banzoates, aspartame and antibiotics.
Can adults use this product?
Although this product was designed specifically for children in mind, with ingredients and doses safe for them this product is also suitable for adults. If you are an adult using BB Kids your dosage is 1 tablespoon twice daily for both BB Kids Eliminate and BB Kids Repair.
What if my child is 3 but size of a 5 year old, what dose should I give them?
If your child is 3 years old but the size of a 5 year old please follow the dosage of a 3 year old. The dosage recommended is not only based off their weight but also the development of your child's liver and gastrointestinal system.
How long should I be on each product for?
BB Kids Eliminate is recommended for 6-8 weeks to support heavy metal elimination and to support the removal of bacterial overgrowths and parasites.
BB Kids Repair which is for 8 weeks is the phase of repair where the focus points are to put all the good back inside your little one. This phase is required to prevent recurrence of parasites, bacterial over growths and related health conditions.
Can my child be on other supplements alongside this protocol?
Yes your child can be on other supplementation alongside the protocol however we don't recommend iron supplementation or iron rich wholefood supplements such as organ meats. Iron has been found toincrease parasitic and bacterial activity, impacting clearance and elimination of overgrowths used if supplemented during this protocol. We recommend hopping back onto these supplements once your child's bacterial overgrowths, parasites, heavy metals are cleared and their intestinal lining is optimal to adequately absorb the iron.
Do I need to go onto Repair if Eliminate worked for my child?
We recommend all children go onto Repair after Eliminate to support: good bacteria colonisation, the repair of the intestinal lining to support nutrient absorption and to support nutrient status post eliminate/kill off phase. This is the key for prevention on gut microbiomerelated health conditions
What does it mean if my child's symptoms don't resolve after the BB kids protocol?
If your child's health condition or symptoms doesn't resolve from the BB kids protocol it is likely they have a very high overgrowth of bacterial, parasite or heavy metals that needs more individualised support. We recommend you work with a children bases degree qualified naturopath who can run a microbiome mapping and heavy metal testing to investigate and treat the exact overgrowths, parasite or heavy metal.
For example if high copper is causing the recurrent eczema bile supporting herbal medicine may be required to clear the copper such as globe artichoke which is one herb not contained in our BB kids protocol. To book a consult with our founders book HERE
What does it mean if my child gets stomach pain and/or changes in bowel movements throughout the protocol?
Stomach pain and changes in bowel movements are common symptoms of clearance occurring; elimination of parasites, bacterial overgrowths and heavy metals often cause these symptoms when eliminating. However if symptoms occur for more than 7 days please reduce your child's recommended dosage by 50% as some children's stomachs are more sensitive than others!
If symptoms still continue we recommend stopping BB Kids eliminate and starting BB Kids repair. Some children's stomach linings/enterocytes are damaged known as intestinal permeability/leaky gut which leads to worsened symptoms when starting BB Kids eliminate. This indicates they need support with repairing their intestinal lining before their gastrointestinal system will be ready for any parasitic or bacterial elimination. If this occurs with your child we recommend this timeline: BB Kids repair for 8 weeks followed by > BB Kids eliminate for 6 weeks followed by > BB Kids repair for 8 weeks.
What if my child's symptoms reappear after moving onto BB Kids Repair?
If your child's symptoms reappear or health conditions reappear after starting BB Kids repair this is a sign that further detoxification and elimination is required for your child. It's likely they needed a longer elimination period. If this occurs for your child repeat the protocol again once finishing the BB kids repair. Your child's timeline will look like: BB Kids Eliminate for 6 weeks followed by > BB Kids Repair for 8 weeks followed by > BB Kids Eliminate for 6 weeks followed by > BB Kids Repair for 8 weeks.
Is BB Kids suitable after antibiotic use?
Yes after the use of antibiotics we recommend going onto BB Kids Repair as it contains probiotics to recolonise good bacteria after this is wiped out by antibiotic use. BB Kids Repair also has ingredients such as glutamine, zinc and vitamin D to support the repair of the stomach lining which can be damaged from antibiotic use. Find the research HERE
Are black stools normal?
Black stools are a normal and expected response. This occurs due to the activated charcoal in BB Kids, which supports the safe elimination of heavy metals and other toxins. The stools may remain dark for the duration of the elimination process, and this can vary depending on your child’s fibre intake.

What is your refund policy?
At BB Kids, your well being is at the heart of everything we do. For hygiene and health reasons, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. We encourage mindful purchasing by clearly outlining the therapeutic benefits of each product in our range to support your conscious choices.
However, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we will accept returns and offer a refund, replacement, or exchange (at our discretion) in the following cases:
- The product is faulty, damaged, or the incorrect item was received, and
- You can provide a valid tax invoice or proof of purchase.
